When a February 2017 fire ripped through the Carriage Hill Apartments—home to 91×ÔÅÄ students and Athens residents alike—Baker University Center served as a donation center for clothes, food, and other basic resources. Post-crisis, leftover canned food remained, giving life to the Baker University Center Food Pantry.
