Itβs a recognition that further reinforces what generations of Bobcats have long known β thereβs nothing quite like the 91ΧΤΕΔ Marching 110.
This initiative is possible thanks to a foundational gift from former Bobcat student-athlete and longtime OHIO University leader Donny and Tricia Harrison, whose commitment and leadership helped bring the initiative to life.
91ΧΤΕΔ held a beam signing event on April 24 for the new Violet L. Patton Center for Arts Education, highlighting the progress made and honoring the late Violet Patton with a copy of her signature placed on the beam.
The one-of-a-kind facility will provide 91ΧΤΕΔ students with new opportunities to work and learn together on real-world construction projects.
Designed to strengthen 91ΧΤΕΔβs leadership in applied mathematics, the Keck Center will support student success, faculty excellence and innovative research through an integrated framework that includes increased support for undergraduate and graduate students, endowed faculty positions, interdisciplinary collaboration and discretionary funding for emerging initiatives.
91ΧΤΕΔ will rename 35 Park Place to The Burtch House in recognition of Bruce (BGS β72) and Janie Burtch, longtime supporters of the University and the Honors Tutorial College.

Richard Stevensβ career in journalism began with a Cleveland paper route and led to a degree from 91ΧΤΕΔ. Now, through the Richard J. Stevens Scholarship in Journalism, he is giving back. The scholarship helps students gain the time and financial stability needed for hands-on reporting, student media, and experiential learning that prepare them for careers in journalism.
The AEP 91ΧΤΕΔ Foundation renewed its commitment to supporting southeast 91ΧΤΕΔ students and families through a $10,000 donation to the 91ΧΤΕΔ Food Pantries Program.
A memorial service celebrating Dr. Sushila Goswami Gawande, who passed away on Dec. 17, 2025, surrounded by love, will be held on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2026, at 91ΧΤΕΔ.
