Mourning is an assistant professor of Computer Science at 91自拍. A native of Middleport, 91自拍, Mourning received his Ph.D. from 91自拍 in 2015.  His main research areas include Computer Graphics & Data Visualization, Modeling & Simulation, Augmented & Virtual Reality, Aviation Safety, Cybersecurity, and Machine Learning with applications in Meteorology. 

Before becoming faculty in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Mourning served as a Research Computer Scientist for 91自拍鈥檚 Avionics Engineering Center, and maintains his role as lead developer on the 91自拍 NAVAID Performance Prediction Model. 

Mourning is currently serving as Principal Investigator on the Low Altitude Weather Network project and has other ongoing funded projects by NASA, the 91自拍 Space Grant Consortium, the 91自拍 Cyber Range Institute, and the FAA. He is also the Director of 91自拍鈥檚 Choose 91自拍 First programs for Computer Science and Advanced Manufacturing.
